Brewing Tree Beer Company ("Brewing Tree," "we," "us") runs brewingtreebeer.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, reach us at events@brewingtreebeer.com or the address at the end of this page.
You must be 21 or older
This site is intended for adults of legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and the site is not directed to children.
Information we collect
Information you give us. We collect the details you enter when you:
- sign up for our email or text list (email address, phone number);
- place an order or buy a gift card (name, email, and, for shipped items, a delivery address; gift-card recipient details you provide);
- request a group reservation, book a private event, or ask for a catering quote (name, email, phone, event details);
- apply to sell at our Roots Market (name, email, phone, business details);
- leave a review or otherwise contact us (the name and message you submit).
Payment information. Card payments are processed by Square. Your full card number is entered directly with Square and is never seen or stored on our servers. We keep a record of the order and the last four digits for reference.
Information collected automatically. Like most sites, our servers log basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We measure traffic with Matomo, a privacy-focused analytics tool we host ourselves, so this data is not shared with an outside ad network.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Essential cookies that keep you logged in during checkout, remember your cart, protect forms against fraud, and record that you have confirmed you are 21 or older.
- Analytics cookies set by our self-hosted Matomo to understand how the site is used. These are first-party only.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the essential ones are needed for ordering and the age confirmation to work.
How we use your information
- fulfill your orders and deliver gift cards;
- respond to reservation, event, catering, and vendor inquiries;
- send you news and announcements if you asked to receive them;
- operate, secure, and improve the site;
- meet legal and tax obligations.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Square — payment processing and order management.
- Amazon Web Services — website hosting, file storage, and delivery of our emails.
- Matomo — analytics, hosted on our own infrastructure.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Brewing Tree, our guests, or others.
Marketing emails and texts
If you join our list, every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Messages tied to something you asked for — an order receipt, a gift-card delivery, a booking confirmation — are not marketing and are sent regardless of your marketing preferences.
Social media and our use of platform tools
If you follow or message us on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok, your activity on those platforms is governed by their own policies. When we publish to our own social accounts through those platforms' developer tools, we use them only to post our own content to our own Brewing Tree accounts and to view analytics for those same accounts. We do not access, collect, or store the personal data of other users of those platforms.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide what you asked for and to meet legal, accounting, and tax requirements, then delete or anonymize it.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop marketing to you. Email events@brewingtreebeer.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Some records tied to completed purchases may be retained where the law requires.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including handling payments through a PCI-compliant processor. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
